My new garden

Meadowgate, nr Hay-on-Wye

My new garden was designed in tandem with the architectural design of the house it surrounds, so enabling a cohesive link between them to be considered at an early stage.

The garden is focused around a generous pale grey sandstone terrace stretching across the width of the house (coordinating with the internal floor tiles), with areas of ornamental planting giving an element of privacy for the seating areas alongside. Beyond this a curving lawn leads to an area of wild flower meadow with mown grass paths, and a kitchen garden set to one side where there is ample room for growing cut flowers, seasonal fruit and veg.

It is my haven.
